October and November 2005

"Hey Guys, I'm calling on you all for some help. I've entered myself in a
photo contest in my new little town in the Catskills and thought I'd get
some feedback from folks that know me a little better. These are a few pictures
I've taken from various places I've traveled to. There's one from Central Park,
a couple from Sydney, a fluttery butterfly off the Blue Ridge Parkway, and a
beach scene from Hawaii."

"I'm curious to see which one is your favorite. We'll see if the judges of the
competition agree. I don't claim to be a professional, but do enjoy walking around
with my camera as a little hobby. Let the voting begin!"

So... please choose your favorite photo(s) and let Curtis know what you think at
curtis.site@gmail.com by October 31st. We'll post the results on the site as soon
as possible after the polls are closed. And when we find out how Curtis does
in the photo contest, we'll post that news too!

Update, November 9: All of the results are in! Curtis just received
official word about his submissions in the photo contest... and your votes in our
website poll predicted which of his photos would be judged the best. :) The clear
winner in our poll was the photo of the Hawaii beach scene, and the judges awarded
Curtis a second-place finish with that great photo!

So, we've re-posted the photos above to correspond to all of the results. Thanks
again to everyone who participated -- we really appreciate receiving your votes as
well as your wonderful, thoughtful commentary. Thank you so much for your feedback!
